BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
This Thursday is Back to School Night. There will be an informative session at both 4:00 and 5:00. Please do your best to attend. We will be discussing the policy the fourth grade will have on technology (phones, I pods and handheld games.)
READING
I am so excited about how much this group loves reading. We had to have a meeting about not playing tag with a book in your hand. It’s always good to have a book or two that your child is reading at home. We don’t have homework, but I cannot stress enough how important it is to read at home. If you need help finding level appropriate books or recommendations, let me know.
APPRECIATION
We try to have time in the day for students to share compliments or appreciations. The students have been repeatedly sharing how kind everyone is being toward each other. For the first few weeks of school this group is getting along really well. They’re very comfortable with each other and going out of their way to be helpful.
Thank you so much for keeping the families up to date with technology and your Blog.
ReplyDeleteMy son Blake loves his school and his class. He loves that his class is using technology. I know they had Hip Hop for PE and he said this school has lots of, "Fun things to do." Wow, learning can be fun! Well done.
I can see the sense of community. I am very impressed. Keep up the great work!
Have you seen the documentary: The Race to Nowhere
